What is ReMake Electric? ReMake is an innovative development company, whose focus is to bring forth new solutions in electrical safety and energy monitoring. ReMake began as a Research & Development company that aimed to sell its intellectual property rights but evolved into an original equipment manufacturer that is improving basic electrical safety devices.  ReMake Electric is located in Iceland.

ReMake provides innovative solutions for electrical operation and maintenance with products and services that are a part of an advanced, economical management system to optimize electrical consumption. The advantages of the system are reduced costs, reduced electrical related fire-hazards and a reduced Carbon Footprint.

The innovativeness and marketability of our solutions has already been internationally recognized in a number of start-up competitions we have entered into.

In November 2009 ReMake Electric came in first in a big idea competition in Iceland where 260 ideas competed.

In April 2010 ReMake Electric won the biggest innovation competition in Iceland where 295 ideas competed.

In November 2010 ReMake Electric was one of five Nordic companies selected to participate in The Global Ideas competition, which is one of the biggest start-up competitions in the world.

In January 2011 ReMake Electric was chosen as one of the top 25 companies to participate in the Nordic Cleantech Open.

ReMake has strong backup in our investors, Eyrir Invest and The New Business Venture Fund.

Eyrir InvestEyrir Invest focuses on investing in industrial companies that have the potential to become true global leaders. Eyrir Invest follows a “Buy and Build” strategy, placing great emphasis on value creation through participation in operations and strategic planning of its core investments by providing knowledge, experience and stable ownership. Eyrir Invest’s long-term investment strategy does not follow a preconceived time frame.

New Business Venture FundThe New Business Venture Fund is a venture capital investor that takes an active part in business development and growth in Iceland by investing in innovative and pioneering firms holding promise.

Those investors have provided valuable support and guidance by, among other things, having representatives in the board of ReMake Electric.

Rannis Technical Development FundReMake Electric has furthermore received several grants from the Icelandic Centre for Research which supports research, research studies, technical development and innovation in Iceland.
